Further support

We receive a high volume of queries, but we always aim to respond as quickly as we can and always within 2 working days.

If the answer to your question isn’t here we will be happy to assist if you email help@connecting.scot

Users can also call the national Connecting Scotland helpline on 0800 0 590 690 for advice and support on how to use their devices or make the most out of the internet.

The helpline is open Monday to Friday, from 10am to 4pm.

The Connecting Scotland helpline is operated and managed by People Know How

Other sources of support

As the main Connecting Scotland programme is now closed, support for devices and/or connectivity may be available from some of the following:

  • Device refurbishment projects: these projects will have very limited capacity, but it may be worth checking them out to see if they are able to help (scroll down to view the list of projects). This is a non-exhaustive list and there will likely be other projects in your local area.
  • charities.connected: Connecivity support from Vodafone for charities running digital inclusion projects. Charities can apply for free Vodafone SIMs, each loaded with 40GB data plus unlimited calls and texts to be used over 6 months.
  • Social broadband tariffs are available to people who can afford them and need more than 40GB data per month.
  • National Databank: An initiative from Good Things Foundation that provides data through their Online Centre's Network.
  • Funding Scotland: for all the most up-to-date funding opportunities for organisations in Scotland.
